Drop off and pick up is a very busy time in the Parker School neighborhood. We understand that traffic and parking can be a struggle for parents/guardians. Please help us by following the important safety rules below. Our main concern is the safety of our students.

Cars are NEVER allowed to enter the school grounds or the schoolyard. Parents are welcome to park in a legal parking space on the street and walk into the schoolyard or to pick up at dismissal, but cars and vehicles are not allowed on the property. This is to ensure the safety of our students.
Please DO NOT double park cars as this is very hazardous to everyone.
The parking lot on the corner of Faxon Rd. and Glover Ave. is for STAFF ONLY. We have very limited parking for staff and need every space to accommodate our teachers’ cars.
Children need to be dropped off at the gate to the schoolyard – not the driveway to the parking lot. Staff members are coming and going from the parking lot, and the use of the driveway gate is not safe for our walkers or for students being dropped off.
Please do not park in front of the driveway or any of the driveways of the homes.
If you are dropping children off at the gate, please remember to let children out of the car on the Parker side only (on Glover Ave. this is the driver’s side; on Billings Rd. it is the passenger side.) It is very dangerous for students to get out of cars on the opposite side from the school and to cross in front or in back of the car to gain access to the sidewalk.
Children dropped off on Billings Road MUST cross the street in the crosswalk or with the Crossing Guard at the corner of Billings Rd. and Faxon Rd.

Billings Rd. @ Faxon 7:40-8:20 a.m.; 2:20-2:50 p.m. (Wed: 11:55-12:25)

E. Squantum @ Newbury 7:30-8:10 a.m.; 2:30-3:00 p.m. (Wed: 12:00-12:30)

E. Squantum @ Bayfield 7:30-8:10 a.m.; 2:30-3:00 p.m. (Wed: 12:00-12:30)

Parents may not accompany their children to the classroom in the morning.
